Keep in mind, that's the discount rate that was lowered by 50bps, not the fed funds rate.

The discount rate is more of a short term bandaid, where as the fed funds rate is the long term fix.

yes i hear ya......but at this point any rate cute is good for the stockmarket, i hope !! i think they will be cutting the fed funds rate by the end of the year !!

I'll take anything I can get. It takes balls of steel not to sell off during a bad stretch like that. But once you're in the basement, sometimes you gotta just climb back out.

Dow is up 110 right now. I am 100% sure it ends negative on the day. Uncle Ben's smokescreen won't work.
